RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Plans and prepares for classroom instruction.
  2. Encourages the productive citizenship and respectful conduct of students.
  3. Identifies needed resources and materials for classroom instruction.
  4. Identifies resources to meet the needs of individual students.
  5. Uses a variety of instructional strategies to meet varied student needs.
  6. Provides a positive classroom environment that promotes student learning.
  7. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed for an orderly, productive classroom and school.
  8. Identifies students who need support and extra help, works with them according to individual needs and regularly reports to coordinator about their progress.
  9. Designs ways to keep a class of multiple-intelligence actively involved at different levels.
  10. Motivates, encourages, finds interesting ways to keep the learning spirit high throughout the year.
  11. Builds team spirit in students of his/her house group where he/she belongs Conduct and Mannerism.
  12. Behaves politely and shows respect to all students to help build self-esteem in them.
  13. Encourages the productive citizenship and respectful conduct of students.
    Shows a sense of fairness to students and avoids partiality in all matters at all times.
  14. Works cooperatively with colleagues, support staff, administration and the community.
  15. Demonstrates professionalism and high level of work ethics in all matters.
  16. Demonstrates positive school-community relations.
  17. Displays high level of financial accountability, honesty and reliability Monitoring and Documentation.
  18. Completes student progress reports including behavior reports accurately and regularly and submits them to the coordinator on time.
  19. Maintains accurate, complete records as required by Ministry law, school policies and procedures.
  20. Informs parents regarding student progress, the instructional program, and other school issues.
  21. Complies with Ministry laws, school policies and procedures Communication.
  22. Prepares for and communicates with family and student on academic goals and strategies.
  23. Conducts student/parent orientation sessions during the first month of school.
  24. Communicates monthly with students that are experiencing academic difficulty, non-compliant students, or by request of the student/parent.
  25. Plans and presents parent-teacher meetings.
  26. Collects, assesses, and provides timely feedback for assignments Professional Development.
  27. Participates in all relevant teacher training and development programs and activities
  28. Prepares for and participates in annual performance evaluation and appraisals for teachers.
  29. Contributes to information and knowledge sharing among peers.
  30. Keeps up to date with latest instructional and professional techniques to enhance education.
  31. Maintains portfolio recording his or her learning experiences and effectively uses them in their work.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Ability to work effectively with school staff, students, parents and members of the community.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; ability to plan, and organize.
  3. Skills in adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse people; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team.
